Biography of the Presenter:
Tan Xiao, male, from Anqing, Anhui Province, graduated from the Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2009 and obtained a Ph.D. degree. From 2009 to 2010, he served as an assistant researcher at the State Key Laboratory of Lake Science and Environment. From 2010 to 2012, he conducted post-doctoral research at the School of Environment, Hohai University. From 2012 to 2019, he was an associate professor at the School of Environment, Hohai University. From 2017 to 2018, he was dispatched by the government to visit the University of Adelaide in Australia. Since April 2020, he has been a professor at the School of Environment, Hohai University. His main research focuses on river and lake ecology, control of algal blooms, and utilization of algal resources. He has presided over 2 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, special funding for Chinese post-doctoral fellows, and projects of the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, etc. He has also participated in national water projects and key research and development projects.
